I did my first barrel firing at home today. This technique off firing is so exciting and a bit random, you have barely any control on the outcome. The idea is that the pieces are wrapped in natural sources of colour such as seaweed, banana skins, cabbage leaves and copper wire. Then the pieces are wrapped in tin foil or brown paper and burnt in a barrel for hours. The results are interesting and unique.
